Welcome to Year 1 – Let the Minibeast Adventure Begin!

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome you into Year 1.

We hope you’ve all had a wonderful summer break and are feeling ready for an exciting new school year!

This term, we’re creeping, crawling and fluttering into our theme:

"Minibeasts!" 馃悰馃�嬸熋�

From buzzing bees to wriggly worms, the children will explore the incredible world of tiny creatures that live all around us.

Throughout the term, we’ll become nature detectives—learning how to identify different minibeasts, discovering where they live, what they eat and how they help the environment.

We’ll be going on bug hunts, creating minibeast fact files, and using what we learn in our stories, art, and science investigations.

This exciting theme is a brilliant way to kick off the year, and we can’t wait to see the curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm the children will bring to our minibeast adventure.

Let’s get ready to explore the wild and wonderful world of minibeasts together!

P.E will take place on a Tuesday (outdoor) and Wednesday (indoor) for both classes. Please ensure your child has their PE kits available on these days, short-sleeved t-shirt and shorts for indoor P.E. Warm trousers and t-shirt with pumps or trainers for outside P.E. They will also need to ensure earrings are removed and hair is tied back. Also, please make sure that all items of clothing and P.E. kit are clearly labelled with your child’s name so that items don’t get mixed up or lost.
